Placeholder interview. This owner, group and conversation are fictional.
How did your group begin?
I used to run alone before work. One Saturday, two neighbours joined me at the reservoir. We stopped for kopi afterwards and realised the conversation mattered just as much as the kilometres. That became our little weekend ritual.
What happens when someone comes for the first time?
We introduce everyone by name and ask what pace feels comfortable. Nobody has to keep up with the fastest person. There is always a walking option, and someone stays at the back so you are never left on your own.
What makes this a third place?
You do not need a job title, expensive shoes or a personal best. Just come as you are. Over time, familiar faces become friends who notice when you have had a rough week.
One invitation for a nervous newcomer?
Come for one lap. Stay for breakfast if you feel like it. Can already.
