Placeholder interview. This owner, group and conversation are fictional.
Why start a pottery circle?
After years of rushing between work and home, I wanted somewhere we could make things slowly. A friend lent us a table, we bought some clay, and six neighbours turned up. Most of our first bowls leaned sideways. Nobody minded.
Do people need to be creative?
Not at all. We show you how to pinch a simple bowl and let you find your own rhythm. There is no competition and no perfect result to chase. Asking for help is part of the afternoon.
What keeps people coming back?
The familiar table, mostly. Hands are busy, phones are away, and conversation comes quite naturally. Someone brings tea; someone shares a small win from the week. We remember each other beyond the things we make.
What would you tell someone coming alone?
There is a seat for you. Your bowl can be wonky. We are glad you came.
